What I think... Well, first of all I think this stuff is very interesting and has many uses (therapy, stress relief, etc.). I have experimented with a few different companies that do entrainment courses: Steve G. Jones, Brainwaves, Centerpointe, Spiritual Results and others that I can't think of right now. But ultimately what I see happening with these types of products is a dependence on an external need for something to make people feel a certain way, sort of like pharmaceutical companies, what will they think of next! kind of thing. "For just $19.95 you can take a trip to the moon without leaving your seat!"

The reason why I wanted to try entrainment was because of the results I read about with astral traveling and meditation. I have yet to experience anything more intense than the 'real thing' tho. Doing group meditation sessions with an enlightened teacher, in person, is the best way I can recommend experiencing the actual process of becoming enlightened. When you become dependent on entrainment, I can see people thinking that they need to spend more money to get something better, always looking for something better but having no idea of the natural possibilities that lay within them. Having a guru or an enlightened teacher might sound scary because you have no idea what their intentions are, but if you are caught up in this type of thinking it's probably due to the fact that this teacher doesn't have the answers you are looking for. "When the student is ready the teacher will appear."

But if your guru / enlightened teacher has taken the shape of a pair of headphones and is in MP3 format, and you feel like your money is going towards something that is more beneficial than a real person as your guru / enlightened teacher, then more power to you.

What did you think of the original post tho? Have you tried internalizing the mechanical process of consciousness / where you able to 'tap into' that source of infinite energy, aka space?

    Mulligan Stew-
I like the brief article by Nassim. It didn't really say much though. It was more of a reminder to meditate than any helpful direction, or new understanding. I like the idea of becoming aware of the various scales of consciousness.
Ed- How do you like your Procyn? Do you use it as a tool to become more aware of how to deal with stress and then stop using it (once you've mastered this new understanding), or is it something that you would need to use against stress while it's happening, like a crutch?

I use it for meditation, relaxations, stress reduction, energy, and sleep as needed. Not every day but at least 3 times a week. Several of my friends who have sleep problems use it daily. You, like my daughters may want to put it in the frequency that will help you learn before you do your studies or research. You can set your brainwaves at ANY state you want and be there in 15 min. Buddhist monks take decades to learn to do this through meditation and you can do the same thing in minutes. Go to Mindplace.com and read everything. Ed
